EU customs reform in 2026: what changes when importing from China and how to prepare
The reform is being introduced in stages and does not affect a direct-to-consumer shipment in the same way as a B2B import of goods for distribution from Spain. The €3 duty is transitional: it is planned to apply until 1 July 2028, after which ordinary duties apply according to the goods, unless extended. These are the points to check before pricing or shipping.
